One of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding, is planning the honeymoon. A little time spent on researching your honeymoon destination, can go along way in ensuring a hassle free honeymoon. Before going on your honeymoon, visit your destination’s local council website, or do a general and specific Google search, to see if your arrival conflicts with any major events or festivals that may affect your honeymoon, especially if you are honeymooning in a major tourist spot.
Some major events can cause disruptions to a city’s transport system, especially if roads have been blocked off. An example of an event that can greatly disrupt a tourist destination is Schoolies week on the Gold Coast. This event attracts thousands of teenagers to a relatively small area on the Gold Coast and most locals tend to avoid the area. The same can be said for the Gold Coast marathon and the race weekend. By having prior knowledge of any major events planned in your honeymoon destinations, you can plan your holiday accordingly without any surprises on your arrival.
