We are always getting emails from people wanting to write for us. After much consideration we have decided to open up Daily Wedding Blog to guest bloggers!
What we ARE Looking For?
As we are looking for diverse article topics, we are not accepting posts from writers who merely run another wedding blog. We are looking for niche writers within the wedding industry who write about what they have experience in.
We are looking for people who make a living in the wedding industry, people such as wedding photographers, florists, caterers, celebrants etc. People who can share their experiences with us.
What we are NOT looking for
We are seeking unique content from people who actually want to write for us. You would not believe how many times we receive copy and pasted emails from people who want to write for us or want us to review them. It is clearly a copy and pasted email that has made the rounds to all the wedding blogs. Sometimes, they forget (or don’t bother) making sure that they have used the correct blog name.
We will not accept any articles that have been generated using automated software. We can only accept exclusive content and you must agree to not republish your article on any other site. We want our readers to connect with you, for that reason your post must be written by yourself personally and not by a ‘ghost writer.’
Can I include my website link in my post?
We understand that one of the main reasons people guest blog is to drum up traffic to their own websites and we try to accommodate this. However, in order to ensure that Daily Wedding Blog only delivers quality content to our readers, we do manually approve all links that appear in our posts. For example, if you are linking back to a blog that has more affiliate links and Google adsense than content we unfortunately cannot approve the link. Additionally, if your link has nothing to do with the wedding industry or the topic of your posts, then yet again we cannot accept the links. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
If your link is approved please try to maintain a balance so that your post does not appear too spammy, as this would reflect poorly on both your business and on Daily Wedding Blog. Therefore, try to limit the amount of times you refer to your business. However, you are more than welcome to have a signature at the end of your post that includes your Business name, link and a short description of approx 4 lines.
Will You Edit my Post?
We may at times, step in and do subtle editing along the lines of adding sub-headings , resizing images, and other minor alterations. If your post is too long, we may suggest you break it up into two posts.
What Can’t I Include in my post?
Your post must not consist of offensive material and it must be unique and exclusive content to Daily Wedding Blog and must not be republished anywhere. Only include images if you have clearance to use them. You must also not include any affiliate links anywhere in your post.
