When checking out your wedding reception venue ask the venue manager to show you the different types of lighting effects such as dimming and spotlighting different areas of the room. It is something not many couples think of, but it can make an impact. For example, you may like a spotlight for the speeches, but softer lights when everyone is eating their meals. Also consider the type of lighting effects you would like for the dance area, something subtle and not too confronting is appropriate.
